I recently stumbled upon the Flying Donkey in Otavalo, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! Just a stone's throw from the bustling market and charming main square, this cozy hostel offered not just great location but also a warm and inviting atmosphere that felt like home. With a well-equipped kitchen and a stunning rooftop terrace to unwind on, my friends and I spent our evenings sharing travel tales beneath the stars. The staff, particularly Paul and Dudu, were incredibly helpful and made us feel like we were part of their family, always ready with tips to explore the stunning surroundings. We also enjoyed the hot showers after long days of adventure, which was a much-needed luxury! If you're seeking a welcoming place to base your Otavalo explorations, I wholeheartedly recommend the Flying Donkey - it'll give you all the feels of traveling through those breathtaking landscapes while surrounded by good company.
